Hi Ladies,

I am Sis. Sherry, I am so blessed and honored that God has connected us together. To give you a little insight about me.  I was not raised in the Church. I grew up in the Projects of East Austin along with my mother, step father and my three siblings. It wasn't easy, but Glory to God we were covered with the blood of Jesus. I met my husband in 1989 while attending a local College in Austin,TX and in October of 1990, we were married.  We have two wonderful children together.

Ladies, I'm so grateful that God reached down and picked me up from the bottom of the pit. In 1996, I found Jesus and was baptized, but I fell from Grace soon after and got caught up in this sinful world once again. My life actually began to change in 2001. I woke up on a Saturday prior to Mother's Day with a burning desire to find a Church home, I knew it was time to stop the sinning and get a relationship with God. God showed me that it was time to stop passing down generational curses, it was time to break the cycle. Well, I must say I heard him, but I had strong holds that I couldn't break because I didn't have a personal relationship with God yet. I realized the closer I got to him, the devil would attack me even more. Finally, I broke down and cried out to God and poured my heart out to him and told him my strong hold was to big for me, but I heard that the God I serve was bigger than any strong hold. So I would drive to work and talk with God, I told him I was going to try him myself and that I was going to hold on no matter how rough the road became.  Well, yes the ride was rough and I was thrown off a few times but I kept getting back up. Finally, I became strong enough that I could not be shaken. God then allowed his Spirit to rest in me and once I got a taste of his Spirit, I don't want to be with out it. God is my strong hold now and I will not let Him GO!

He has delivered my Soul and I have peace. It feels so good to know God for myself. I'm not saying my life is peaches and cream, but I know in the mist of my storm, God has me in the palm of his hand and can't no one snatch me out... I will keep moving. I will keep pressing toward the mark in the name of Jesus. I am Free from the past,and I don't know what all God has in store for my future but I do know it looks alot better than my past! Hallelujah !!!
